این حساسیت‌ها زمانی بیشتر شد که خبر رسید کیانوش عیاری در اقدامی نامتعارف در مختصات سینمای ایران، با استفاده از کلاه گیس از حضور بازیگران خانم بدون حجاب در فیلم استفاده کرده است.
این ایده عیاری بازتاب‌های بسیاری هم‌زمان با ارایه فیلم به دبیرخانه سی و پنجمین جشنواره ملی فیلم فجر در همان سال تولید، در محافل سینمایی و رسانه‌ای به‌دنبال داشت و همان‌طور که انتظار می‌رفت با رد فیلم از سوی هیات انتخاب، پرونده آن روی میز معاونت ارزشیابی و نظارت سازمان سنیمایی قرار گرفت تا درباره اصلاحات لازم برای انطباق نسخه نهایی فیلم با قواعد و قوانین اکران اعلام نظر شود.
